Paul is a seasoned broadcasting technology leader with a passion for developing products and services that address the real-world challenges faced by chief engineers. For nearly three decades, Paul served as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Burk Technology and as Director of Technical Operations for Greater Media’s five FM stations in Boston. Known for his pioneering work—including one of the first major market studio consolidations and early HD Radio® systems from Boston's Prudential Center—Paul has led multiple technical innovations and is a frequent contributor to industry publications. Additionally, he co-authored several chapters in the 11th edition of the NAB Engineering Handbook and is a regular presenter at major industry events such as NAB, IEEE, and SBE. Paul is currently the president of the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society, a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers, and is a certified SBE Radio Engineer. He is also the former co-chair of the BTS Broadcast Symposium. Paul holds a bachelor’s degree in physics, chemistry, and natural sciences from the University of New Hampshire. He is a private pilot and enjoys astronomy, skiing, and photography, and owns an observatory in Arizona where he remotely captures deep-sky images.
Jim Stenberg has over 30 years of expertise in broadcast RF system research, design, sales, installation, service and marketing. His proven track record with numerous broadcast and wireless clients includes industry leaders such as Qualcomm MediaFLO, Dielectric, ERI, MicroCommunications, Comark, ABC, NBC, CBS, Univision, Sinclair, and American Tower. Jim has also held key engineering roles at Signal Infrastructure Group, American Tower, Dielectric, and Jampro, and in 2023, founded JS Engineering, an independent broadcast consulting firm. Jim is currently an IEEE Broadcast Society Advisory Committee member, and previously served as chair of the IEEE Broadcast Symposium and a member of the Association of Federal Communications Consulting Engineers, among others. Jim received a technical Emmy in 2005, was a two-time SPX Active Inventor Awards recipient, and in 2020, his contributions to the field earned him the prestigious NAB Television Engineering Achievement Award. Jim is a private pilot and enjoys skiing, sailing, painting, autocross, and amateur radio.
